I have 2 SCS Spinal cord stimulator's, I use 2 different pain medications, I also use meditation, I walk/pace, resting, computer (distraction).
My battle started on July 17th, 1998. I injured my right knee while working.
After a month of PT, medications etc...an MRI was done, a tear was seen-surgery was done on Sept. 9th 1998. I was in recovery mode-with at first what I thought was normal pain following surgery. (acute pain) this pain continue to get worse, with good days and bad days. On Nov. 22nd 1999 I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD.
I'm so-so thankful that I'm not on my own as I learn daily how to deal with all the challenges of my life, I'm blessed enough to have my best friend and husband John beside me, I have my family and I now have so many friends all around this great land...
John and I have been married for 22 years, we have 3 children, and 6-grandchildren, and 2 dogs and now a cat!
Yoshe is are Chow, Snoops is are dashhound, and Trapper John M.D. is are cat! (MD= Mouse Detective)
We live on the dry side of Washington, but were only about 30-40 min. to the mountains, and a few hours to the Pacific Ocean!
John and I both really enjoy volunteering with the American Pain Foundation. We're only 2 of 5 POPAN-WA State Co-Leaders. (Power over Pain-Action Network)
