  1. Hmmm. I thought this was mainly regarding the generic patch

Wasn't there a warning (or different warnings) about the patches last year?  I know that there are quite a few pain patients, including some here who had been using (still using) the duragesic patches.  Was this specifically related to the generic patch (different generic brands) or is it about ALL of the patches with this drug in them?  I couldn't tell from the article if they were talking specifically about Duragesic OR all of them.  Do you know?

I guess I am lucky, again, with all of my allergies... I can't use any sort of patch, as I am allergic to plastics and to the adhesives.  I know I have ONE friend (not here) who uses the patches and she has a lot of scarring from where the patches have been placed.  Could be she has also developed allergies similar to mine.   I mean, does everyone who uses these things develop this kind of scarring?  Anyway;  thanks for posting this.  People do need to be aware of what different meds can do to them.  The one time (I think) I was given this drug, it sent me flying!  Since I don't like being out of control (hate being high more than being in pain), I wouldn't use the med.. but, that's just ME..  Anne
