I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1990 when I was told the doctor I had suggested herbs and pain killers and later antidepreesants, nerve medication, flexirill for muscle spasms and over the years many more. I got addicted to drugs twice by another doctor who treated me for eplipsey. I searched for the right combination of herbs from herb stores fruitlessly. A friend got me to talk to a doctor who was involved with a company called Enrich and there I found herbs that did work and I was told by the doctor involved with the company that the herbs had to be pure or they wouldn't work. Then another chemical company bought out the herb company and discontiued the product I was using and slowly I became sick again.

I spent more years searching again and 4 years ago I met a person who put me on Usana and I take the essentials, proflavenol, vitamin C, It took 6 months for me to see a diiference but I did, I went a step further and quit smoking, and chaneged my diet to a healthier one. Then he introduced me to the biomat from Richway after a month on the mat and on my 60th birthday I was finally pain free. Now I work part time and only get aches and pains from working. The one thing I can't seem to get rid of is the muscle spasms, I take good quality herbs which help  but it doesn't get rid of them.  So I am open to ideas , the herbs have to be pur to work so I hope someone can tell me what companies are top quality.

I also don't know what Usana is and I'm always open to alternative therapies, for my muscle spasms my oncoligist suggested tonic water with quinine,it's only been a week but I'm not having those crippling spasms,I drink 12oz.2x a day,who knew? I thank you in advance,Starflake

Hi Starflake< A biomat is a mat made out of amethist crystals and uses infer red heat and negative ions to control pain. I sleep on mine every night as I have a big one for my bed and two little ones, 1 for traveling and 1 for my easy chair I sit in. Usana is a company that sells top quality vitamins, minerals and herbs. I take them twice a day everyday. 5 years ago I moved to Vancouver Island, my exhsuband and I use to fish every summer for three months  and each time I came here I could cut all my medication in half so when my marrige broke up I moved here because I knew I could get better here. When I moved here 5 years ago I couldn't stand and I walked with two canes. Now I have a part time job and I volunteer and I am on my feet all day long but I no longer have pain like I use to, just general aches and pains from working and getting older but that I can live with. I have three more and I get my old age pension and then I want to travel and enjoy my senior years and now I can see that I will have good health to do just that. I hope this information helps you and if you need more information let me know and I will be happy to answer any of your concerns.

                      Yours sincerely.............. chinajoy

I had fibromyalgia for 10 years.  Last summer, I started swimming on a daily basis, my back pain is gone. I still have severe nerve entrapment in one of my feet.  I take Lyrica and Vicodyn (minimal dosage). I've tried massage, anti imflammatory creams, menthol creams, neuropathy herbal support nutrition and cortisone injections.  I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted a year ago. I want to be off the drugs-I have brain fog all the time. My doctors say it's not RDS but I feel like that's a possibility. Chronic pain interferes with our travel. I tried Duragesic patches for the pain. I had the side effect of itching and was advised to remove the patch and go back to Vicodyn.  I suffered a severe drug withdrawal reaction.
