That's not enough poems we need more.

I love to read poems. I feel that you have a great way of showing what mind is thinking. You can picture what a poet is writing about and know that they have found a way to get in touch with what is happening. The pain may stop you from getting around but the words put you back in motion. I use to baby sit a lot and I did a lot with the children. Children with disabilities, babies, to large group of kids at a time. We would go camping, art work, farming, and just spend time together when they needed to talk. Now my back is out and my ms holds me back. I try to paint still and every now and than I try to write poems. It's hard to find people who are good with words, you differently have a talent for using words.

Sunday, September 09, 2007 at 02:00 PMHi Susan,
Thanks so much for your kind comment on my three poems from The Horizontal Poet. I hope your back improves; I have a friend who's a painter, and it's harder for her to paint when her back hurts than it is for me to write. If you'd like to get a newsletter four times a year with links to new published work and a schedule of my upcoming readings, just send an e-mail to jan.steckel@post.harvard.edu.
All my best,
Jan
