Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is an auto immune disorder that causes extreme, prolonged fatigue in patients without any apparent cause.  An estimated 4 million American suffer from CFS, but only about 20 percent of patients are diagnosed.  Patients report feeling flu-like symptoms that do not subside from several days or weeks.
