Second visit to new Doc.
My second visit with my doctor yesterday went pretty well. Although he is still concentrating on my Fibromyalgia, we did discuss my arthritis. Discouraged today!
I woke up today with increased pain in my SI joint after a relatively nice day yesterday. It seems like I just can't keep my head above water! I have been off work for 8 months. I was turned down for LTD from my work (although I'm going to appeal). I went to see my family doc. and she is sympathetic but states my complicated case is way out... Read more

About Milnacinpran "new" fibro drug waiting for approval from FDA
Please understand that this "new" drug isn't really new. They have taken two anti-depressants and combined them into one tablet. (An SSRI and a NRI) In studies in Europe a prevalence of induced MANIA has been found in people that take this drug. In other words, be prepared to climb the walls when you take this drug. Going on 25 years with FM.
I am in my 24th year trying to cope with this monstrous disease. It does get progressively worse, and the pain meds have to be adjusted accordingly.
