There are three FDA approved drugs for fibromyalgia treatment as well as other off-label drugs that may be prescribed. Prescription medications include: antidepressants, COX-2 inhibitors, muscle relaxants, anti-convulsants for nerve pain, sleep medications, non-narcotic and narcotic pain relievers, and corticosteroids. Alternative treatments and lifestyle recommendations also abound.
