The link between food and pain is still inconclusive, but many people with chronic pain believe there is a connection. The general idea is that eliminating certain foods from your diet can reduce pain because some foods are excitotoxins, like aspartame, that trigger the nervous system. Other foods that can cause pain in some people include caffeine, chocolate and alcohol, among many others.
