Could this be Piriformis Syndrome?

Can you have Piriformis Syndrome without hip or buttock pain? My symptoms include pain starting in back of thigh in left leg that can be described as a band wrapped around the leg, cutting off circulation. Again in pain.

I know I am depressed AGAIN. I have had 2 back surgeries & then the siactic nerve started acting up with severe pain in my left hip, groin, & down my leg. How is spouse handling your chronic pain?

Not sure what goes in this space. I am 51 female who has been disabled by chronic pain and depression for the last 4 years. I live in MD I have a pain management Dr. but other then depense meds I haven't tried anything else althought I would be willing. Anxious to corespond with others to see how they are dealing.
