Q: what is to be expected in the long term with fibromalygia-can it onset demensia or alzheimers , and does it affect life expectancy?

Its really hard to say about longterm FM because new drugs are being applied to it and who knows what will show up in the future regarding treatment? It may be treated much more effectively in five years than it is now. In any case, my understanding is that it does not effect your risks of getting dementia or alzheimers or even life expectancy but more studies need to be done. Good luck!
