In a discogram test a dye is injected into your spinal area and an x-ray is taken. The dye increases the resolution of the x-ray thus enabling your physician to get a better idea of what's happening in your spine. Electromyogran and nerve conduction studies determine how well your nerves are functioning when they're at rest and when they're active. They are used to help physicians determine if you have a nerve or muscle disorder that could be causing your longstanding pain.
You're taking a variety of different medications. If you're concerned about whether they may be interacting together in a negative way or about side effects you might want to contact your pharmacist.
