Hi been reading all the problems with the right side!!  Well I am 70 . had my gallbladder out almost 7 years ago and have had this problem all this time after it was removed.  I have had all the test the blood work etc.  I have burning pain under the right rib and a spot that is so tender if I push on it at all  The pain just sends thur the roof. It goes to my back a under the ribs to the middle of the front , I am wine drinker and sometime I will bother me more after I have had a glass of wine.  I drink about 5 to 8 oz.s daily most of the time it is red wine.  At night it is just a little dull pain way on the right rib if I sleep on that side. When I have blood work done about ever 6 to 8 months all seems to be ok. So I have learned to live with this!  I really trust my Dr and he does not seem to be concerned that I have a really serious problem. I take no medications I have a good diet, maybe about 20lbs too heavy. I walk every day about 2 miles and try to take really good care of myself.  The disconfort I have with this may last about 6 weeks to 3 months and leave just as it started and not return for 6 to 8 months or longer. I have given up trying to find out the problem .  My Dr. did say It could be the same virus as shingles.  He was just no sure.  So I am living with it.am
