Hi, sorry to hear of the pain. I am not sure it is the same thing but i suffered pain under the right rib cage for 4 years now. Stabbing and dullache, and side pain and nausea and weakness, affecting my breathing and stopped my legs working at one point!  Had tests (MRI, Tube down throat, blood, urine, ultrasound, stool test) nothing was found. It got worse during menstruation and ovulation, though i didn't notice that at first, just stabbing and dull ache al lthe time that got worse. It got severe, where it affected my diaphragm and my breathing, pain on side and flank and electric type shocks through my arm, rigid abdomen and peritonitis AND ruptured appendix like symptoms - for months on end - horrific. I started to take the pill when i noticed the connection of it getting worse with ovulation and my pain has subsided greatly presently. It may be two different things, made worse by ovulation - (hurt when full bladder as well). so now i am due for a gynae exam.. but the pain has lessened greatly. i also got my appetite back, nausea not noticeable and though it hasn't resolved the issue, not suffering so much pain is a blessed relief.. Symptom or cause, i don't know.. but it might be worth a shot trying to stop menstruation etc.   Jac
