this could be gas build up...or Gerd i have heard of all that being the cause of pain under ribs...i have Gerd and the syptoms under my ribs the pain is sometimes unbareable..but it comes and goes..i hope this is helpful ask the doctor the next one you see to run tests for Gerd and see if she has gas build up or something like an ulcer..
