Hi - update! In England   Have suffered this for 4-5 years now and it has got progressively worse  sry. I hve had to give up work now. It has become disabling and the pain affects concentration.  Drs keep saying 'IBS' however this is daily and chronic and i do nto have symptoms of IBS as per Colpermin IBS results (online test ww.ibs-symptoms.co.uk) Some symptoms i have suffered/ suffer from: Distended Abdomen Pain under right rib started intermittent stabbing with dull ache now moderate to severe pain most of the time, pain in rib cage constant(agony). used to have a week off at least! Peritonitis symptoms /rigid abdomen for 6- 8 months in 2011 Migraine Nausea, fatigure, weakness, with hot flushes lately. right side flank pain. Loss of appetite Breathing and ability to move right leg affected on occasions(diaphragm?) It has become disabling&  i don't have much of a life.  spend most of the time bent over and all of the time having difficulty coping with pain. Full bladder now makes the pain worse as does eating/drinking, though the moderate to severe pain i now suffer never goes away, save for a few minutes here and there.     Pain killers may be affecting my kidney as i now have back ache with stinging and pain went over left said of abdomen for first time this Easter. I have had to stop taking them this weekend!!  My whole abdomen across the belly button painful and just above it. Difficult to cope with the daily pain every moment. Food and drinking definately  makes it worse-it never goes away now.   Tests i have had; Blood, urine, stool.  tube down throat; clear, tube up bottom didn't manage to make it very far!  Mri -didn't show anything. Pelvis Transabdominal and Transvaginal didn't show anything, save urinary retention(had emptied my bladder just before). when bladder full pain is worse and wakes me up during the night lately as the pain increases.   I am due for a laparoscopy to check my colon, but not till May if the appt doesn't get put back again! Gastro appointment STILL PENDING! having to chase while i am ill is a problem..   I am thinking it is either diseased/inflamed Colon, duodenum, pancreas/gallbladder biliary/liver/kidney (when i attended A&E and they put a drip in me it was the best i had felt for a long time).. i have not yt been given antibiotics by my GP so these may be worth a try.?   Note; the pain was worse during ovulation/menstruation however i have stopped this with the pill however the pain is just as severe though the rigid abdomen ceased, which may just be a coincidence.
