Can someone explain these results to me?
At L3-4 there is a mild broad based annular disc bulge. Supermiposed upon this is a small to moderate focal disc protrusion in a right lateral location, which appears to contribute to at least mild narrowing at the right L3-4 intervertebral foramen.
At L4-5 there is evidence for mild to moderate broad based annual disc bulge, which results in slight anterior flattening of the thecal sac. There is suggestion for small T2 hyperintense focus at the central posterior annulus fibrosis suggesting a small tear of the annulus fibrosis, though no extruded disc fragment is identified. Laterally bulging disc material contributes to minimal narrowing of the L4-5 intervertebral foramen. No significan central spinal stenosis is identified at this level. The remainder of the visualized disc levels are unremarkable in appearance.
Impression: Disc bulges are present at the L3-4 and L4-5 levels as outlined above, but no large isolated disc herniation is seen nor is significant spinal stenosis visible. Laterally bulging disc material contributes to mild narrowing at the L3-4 intervertebral foramen on the right.
