go to a interventional pain clinic, they can help you with managing your pain with medications, injections, ect...
i go to one now due to chronic low back pain and degenerative disk disease, and get pain meds to ease my pain, and non steroidahl epidurahl injections every 2-3 mo. which help tremendously.
I know exactly how you feel..I have DDD (degenerative disc disease),pinched nerves, arthritis, maybe fibromyalgia, and maybe rheumotoid arthritis. They want me to get tested for the last two. I'm not a candidate for back surgery 'cause i'll ne paralyzed so i've tried everything there is..epidurals,blocks,everything. My doc put a pain pump in my back in May. It's helped quite a bit,but nothing seems to stop it. He just now gave me my meds back for break through pain. I just couldn't take it any longer. Enough is enough. I recommend a good pain management doc who is going to work with you and be willing to try different things. I went thru 4 dcs before I found mine..
Hi Katie, I understand your frustration. I've had low back pain all my life. I've also been diagnosed with OA, RA, disc degeneration and fusion, fibro and so on. At the age of 50 now, I can't remember a day without pain. But I've had to moderate some of the med usage, I still need to work and drive. I'm already on Gabapentin, Orphenadrine Citrate, Celebrex, and for high activity times Tylenol 3. As for non-med solutions: I've used Chiropractic, a Tens unit, injections and aqua therapy. I've found these non med items used together to be quite helpful. I hope this gives you some ideas. Keep trying and don't give up, you're not alone.
