go to a interventional pain clinic, they can help you with managing your pain with medications, injections, ect...

i go to one now due to chronic low back pain and degenerative disk disease, and get pain meds to ease my pain, and non steroidahl epidurahl injections every 2-3 mo. which help tremendously.

I agree with the first response and would add that proper imaging of your spine might help disclose the exact nature of your pathology and allow your physicians to tailor your treatment properly...

I know exactly how you feel..I have DDD (degenerative disc disease),pinched  nerves, arthritis, maybe fibromyalgia, and maybe rheumotoid arthritis. They want me to get tested for the last two. I'm not a candidate for back surgery 'cause i'll ne paralyzed so i've tried everything there is..epidurals,blocks,everything. My doc put a pain pump in my back in May. It's helped quite a bit,but nothing seems to stop it.  He just now gave me my meds back for break through pain. I just couldn't take it any longer. Enough is enough. I recommend a good pain management doc who is going to work with you and be willing to try different things. I went thru 4 dcs before I found mine..Smile
