Too, have your Vitamin D level checked (blood test). I registered in the 30's, too low, and have been taking 10,000 IU's. Will be checked again in 3 months. I'm a woman in my 40's. Been dealing with lower back pain and hip pain one and off for awhile. Thought maybe I was getting Arthritis. A lot of people, men women and children, aren't high enough in their Vitamin D. My significant other with AS has also been put on 10,000 IU's and after 3 months is up to the level wanted. Very important with him as his bones are more on the brittle side than most people due to AS ( Ankylosing Spondylitis ).
