whats involved when you have your teeth reshaped to help with TMJ?

You should be careful about this procedure. Neither the National Institutes of Health or the TMJ Association recommends grinding down teeth in order to reduce the pain of TMJ.

 

Unfortunately there is no certificate program for treating TMJ, therefore no certified specialists and alot of different treatments, very few of which have undergone the scrutiny of scientific analysis.  

 

Make sure that whatever you do that you do it  with a Dr. that you know has a good track record and considerable experience in this field. Good luck!
