I asked a question and I was not satisfied with the responce. I went to Loma Linda and was there 3 days for EEG Video Montering. They say they got enough "Episodes".I am not have epilipsy, but still not sure what the problem is. He wants me to see a Ortho.surgen.

The problem is , I fell May 25 at a Dr appt, when given a shot of Phenegren,I just blacked out. I woke up on the floor ( between the bed & the wall) yelling for my husband. That night I started getting Very Sharp pains from the base of my neck into my skull, when that happens I can't see ( looks like snow on the TV starts out light and then gets dark),and my speach is VERY Bad,( I talk like I have had a stroke or a baby learning to talk.) I get very confused, sometimes dont know where I am.I forget conversations about a hour later. My short term memorie is gone. I have seen many DR's and no-one can come up what is wrong with me. I used to be a very strong women and now I can't figure out what to wear.PLEASE HELP ME. I am so SCARED and these are getting worse everyday. On top of ALL this, Last Dec(2007) I was told I have Gastriopreses. I have lost over 100 lbs, and I dont eat much, especially when this pain is so bad. I am nauseated all the time that I believe that I my be Anorexia now. Plus I have had had 2 neck surgeries back in 1999 & 2000(hurt on the job). I am still be treated for that.I still need more surgeries or at least a nerve block to find out what s wrong with that. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! I have ran out of hope. I feel like this is KILLING me and we dont even know what this is. I want, NO I NEED,someone to help me. PLEASE contact me if you would like . I woould be more than happy to give you all my medical records and give you EVERYTHING I have. I am desperate.  This not only effecting me but it is effecting my Husband, our Kids and our Grand kids. I cant even see them right now because of all of this.

Thanks you for your time

Debbie

Being a woman can be a pain in the back. I should know because my...

I sure can understand why you are so scared, I would be too. The best advice I can offer is too stick with the big university teaching hostitals. The physicians at these teaching hospitals are better at finding the causes of rare, unusual problems because they see such a wide variety from all over the country. For example, I know that UCSF has an excellent neurology department. The only time I have heard of speech and swallowing being affected by the neck is after an anterior cervical fusion. Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) is a known complication of this surgery. Usually, the symptoms are temporary and it effects mostly women. Your condition sounds very different than this. Upper cervical conditions like Arnold-Chiari malformations can cause nausea, dizziness, and a whole host of other strange symptoms because the brain stem becomes irritated. But, I do not want to speculate, nor can I replace the doctors that are treating you. I believe a neurologist or neuro-surgeon would be the best specialists for you to see. Best wishes,
