Q: I have the worst cronic jaw pain, could it be tmj? It goes away with advil use.

For quite a while now, I have been experiencing chronic jaw pain.  Sometimes almost throbbing.  It has gotten to the point where I take almost 8 advils a day, and do on most days.  I do have periodontal disease, but have been told it is not that extreme.  I thought my perio scaling and wisdom teeth extraction would help the pain, it has not even touched it.  It is just in my lower jaw.  Could it be tmj and what could I do?
