If you take percaset what could you take instead ..

I have lupus the only thing that works for my pain is percaset if they take it off the market what can I take that is as effective?

The active ingredient in percocet can be prescribed alone, without the tylenol in it-or ask for percodan--it's the same thing except it has  aspirin instead of tylenol.  I took percodan for years  because I can't take tylenol and it worked quite nicely until I needed something stronger.

oxycontin for several years -- taking morphineER now with 15mg oxycodone immediate release every 4hr prn for breakthrough pain

There are afew different instant release oxycodone products out there without the tylenol, I currently take the generic form of Roxicodone. Basically, Percocet without the fillers, cheaper, and for me, personally, more effective.

Worth looking into, just hard to find, with the oxy. shortage. Good luck!

Thank you alot I am going to look into this drug.  At least I am thinking there is something I can take that might work if they ban Percaset.
