Barb!   I'm 27, and have been living with my J-pouch for 10 months now. My colon was removed about two and a half years ago. Anywas, I have been experiencing severe back pain for about a month now,.....prior to this, I had the usual aches and pains that I was told were associated with my numerous surgeries that I have had within the past two years (4 operations to be exact).   I can hardly move in the moring, for about three to four hours I experience terrible back pain between my shoulders. My chest is also sore. I'm at my wits end with this nonsense!   I've just come home from seeing my G.I. and he feels that it may be some form of arthritis?  We ran some blood tests and am waiting on the results (anxiously). Is there anything you can tell me that may help my situation?
