Q: how long does it take the drug oxycotin to get into your system or bloodstrem or urine screens

i suffer with chronic pain after under going 2 back surgeries and a maxiofacial break on both sides of my face from a recent car accident and undergoing to reconstructive surgeries i was recently prescribed the drug oxycotin and percocet for break through pain as well as xanax for my nerves and anxiety how bad is this combination and how long does it take to get into your system

I'm not sure how long it takes for OxyContin to take effect, but I would think you should notice a difference within 30 minutes to an hour.  OxyContin is generally prescribed to be taken every 12 hrs, but there will be some still in your system for about 24 hrs or so.  As long as you have a legitimate prescription, urine drug screens shouldn't be a concern.  For more information, read  "Passing" Those Drug Screenings

 

OxyContin, Percocet and Xanax are not necessarily a "bad" combination, but they are all central nervous system and respiratory depressants, so you do have to be careful of accidental overdose.  If you start feeling excessively sleepy, become uncoordinated, have difficulty walking, your speech is slurred, have difficulty breathing, or other similar symptoms, call your doctor right away.  Always be careful to take these medications exactly as prescribed.
