I've never heard of, nor could I find anything on, "burning mucous syndrome."  Could they possibly have meant "burning vulva syndrome"?  What used to be called burning vulva syndrome is currently known as vulvodynia.

Here is a link to more information on vulvodynia from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists:  http://www.acog.org/publications/patient_education/bp127.cfm

THEY HAD SOMETHING LIKE THIS ON THE TYRA BANKS SHOW ONE NIGHT BUT IT WAS ABOUT WOMEN THAT R MARRIED AND CANT HAVE SEX BECAUSE OF SO MUCH PAIN IN THE VAGINA AREA AND IT IS AWFUL I GUESS AND THIS ONE LADY WAS SAYING FOR YEARS SHE COULDNT HAVE SEX WITH HER HUSBAND BECAUSE OF IT AND THE PAIN IN THE VAGINA WAS SO BAD SHE WOULD SCREAM AND SHE WENT TO SEVERAL DOCTORS AND I GUESS ONE SUGGESTED ALOT OF BOTOX SHOTS IN THE VAGINA AND SHE AGREED AND TO HER SUPRISE SHE IS NOW HAVING PAINLESS SEX WITH HER HUSBAND ALL THE TIME SO MAYBE DO SOME RESEARCH ON THAT AND MAYBE HAVE YOUR MOM GO TO A SPECIALIST AND MENTION THAT... I FEEL FOR YOUR MOTHER AND BEING A PAIN SUFFERER MYSELF THAT HAS TO BE VERY MISERABLE..HOPEFULLY SHE IS ON SOME KIND OF PAIN MEDICATION AND IT HELPS HER... TELL HER TO TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU.................KIMBER Reply
