Q: No diagnosis on chronic pain and extreme stiffness

I have had chronic pain and stiffness with Hepatitis C since October 2006. I've been seeing an MD and rhuematoligist and they have ruled out lupus, rhuematiod arthrithis, and fibromyalgia. All my blood work exams come out clean. The diagnosis is Hep. C arthropathy. They are stomped. I get the feeling they might think I'm exagerrating. I take darvocet and celebrex and it gives me no relief what-so-ever. I get the pains now on multiple body parts at once now including shoulders, wrists, hands, forearms, elbows, knees, ankles, fingers, toes, jaw, and hips. What could be the problem that fails to be revealed on regular blood work?

The stiffness you are getting, is it muscle contractions or just arthritic type "hard to get moving" stiffness? There is a clear difference. If your muscles are contracting for no reason, I would be suspicious of Parkinson's type disorders. Since you are confirmed case of Hep C you know your immune system is already compromised. Drs. need to investigate further for auto-immune. Tell them to use their imaginations. It's hard for drs. to think out of the box.
