Q: Tapering question

Hey everyone, I have posted before about going on meds and then them not working. Well I've almost completed a physical therapy program that has helped SO MUCH! My question is this, what is the best way to taper off of MS Contin and oxycodone 5 mg. Actually I'm almost off of the MS Contin, my doc had me switch to daily, then every other day and now every 3rd day. I guess the question is the oxycodone, how slow of a taper is better? I am still doing PT so it could be painful yet. I'm also going through an outpatient CD and mental health treatment program that I asked for to help with some of my mental health issues. Any help you have is appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations on getting off MS Contin. Tapering off oxycodone should be done under the direction of your doctor. Have you talked to your doctor about that?

There is a PDF of ways to safely taper off opioids as well that might help you out. You can find that here...

Good luck on getting off this drugs with the fewest side effects :)/
