I have a lower back injury and need information on what is recommended as far as swimming for theraphy it is a Workmans Comp injury and they use these guide lines. I have tried aqua theraphy and think if I can get more visits it will help me even more than it has already. I was in a wheel chair and can now walk but need more visits to strengthen my muscles and keep them in shape I can only walk short distances except in a pool where I can walk or stand for forty five minutes but when I go to get out I can barely walk

I don't know. I was unable to find anything on the ACOEM but hydrotherapy is commonly used to treat back pain. I would think, just off the top of my head, that they would support it. It sounds like they already did for you? But you're looking for more?

If they can't get them to support it perhaps you can use the exercises you did before. The URL below has some exercises you can use in the pool.

Hope you can continue on with these - its a good healthy way many people use to combat back pain.
