chronic back/neck pain and mighranes
I am a pilot in the Air force and had to be taken off flying status due physical ailments. I flew fighters pulling up to 9gs and then went int assault aircrafts. Do extremely hard landing and it has taken its toll on my back. The flight doc put me on imitrexe for the headaches and vicoden an oxy contin for the pain. The phentanyl patch did not work and lortab works every now and then but I can't get rest/comfortable at all. Sleeping is not even an option due to the pain. I have good insurance and have never been addicted to anything (well maybe sweets and good food) but don't drink. where can I find a doctor that can help me, cause physical therapy doesn't seem to work and I just got back form the desert so I am in quite a bit of pain and low on medication.
thanks'

Shakey135,
Im not sure what you are dealing with, but have you ever tried a chiropractor. I also suffer from horrible back/neck pain and those stupid migrane headaches. After going to the chiropractor I felt like I coculd move with out hurting myself. The adjustments make the " knotted " feeling go away. Verterbral subluxations can cause horrible pains. I'm sorry that I can not be any more help to you. Good luck! God bless!
Wishes of good health,
Morgan

I don't know of any physicians in particular but you might try out this site below. You can enter your address and get a list of pain specialists in your area.
You might want to try and find a treatment center that specializes in pain. These are centers that take a multidimensional focus on pain. There's some information on them in the URL below on them.

As you're probably well aware sleep is very important! and can be particularly important with regards to pain as studies show that not getting enough sleep actually greatly increases the pain response in the body. Do whatever you can to get some restful sleep.
Good luck.
