Q: can a doctor be held responsible for withdrawals from a pain med can they just cut you off cold turkey what recourse do i have i still have real chronic pain it will never get better they might be
Why were you cut off the meds like that? I'm pretty sure there isn't anything you can do to the doctor. People get cut off all the time for many reasons such as having marijuana or other pain meds in their systems.Please try to find another doctor and don't do anything drastic.I went thru withdrawals once when someone took some of my meds from me so I know how sick you can get. Try the ER or a walk-in clinic for meds if you can't get into see another doctor. Take care of yourself. Suicide is NOT the answer. My husband killed himslef and now his family has to deal with it. Please don't go that route. Scooter
