Hello. I, too, had cervical surgery but I did not have the fusion. Disc were removed and something else was put in - I also had a pinched nerve. I had this back in Oct 2007 and I feel so much better. Occasionally, my neck might hurt when I look up too long. Recently we have looked at ceiling fans and this causes my neck to hurt some. But overall, I have had success with the surgery that I had. I had a wonderful surgeon also. He did surgery on my elbow and carpal tunnel. He is a neurosurgeon. I think doctors are so important in selecting one to do surgery. I go to a medical center which teaches other doctors and it is a wonderful place. I am thankful to be close to it.   I might tell you that I got instant relief when the doctor did my surgery and he told me I would, if he did the job correctly....he was indeed right....he fixed me right up.   I hope you can find relief soon.....   MiMi
