Chronic back pain, joint pain, fatigue, weakness followed by sudden onset of spleen pain? Pleasehelp

Tasha
07/16/08

I am 23, and have had chronic back pain, joint pain (specifically hips/pelvis), fatigue, and frequent urination for years. Nobody has been able to help me! Starting yesterday right under my left rib cage I have a knot like pain that has been constant. I am worried, and am out of options. I have no insurance and can't afford to go to a specialist. Please help with any ideas of what might be going on with me!

Thanks so much for your reply.I'm not overweight atleast i dont think, I did the BMI calculator and mine is 18.5, which it said was normal. Im just really freaked out, bc it still hasn't gone away, and I refuse to do to the doctor because they never help with anything as I always have to go to immediate care facilities bc i don't have a family doc bc I don't have insurance... ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY IDEA?????

Does your county or state help out with low income people? Many do and you may not be aware of these services - they often dont advertise much?

Its impossible for anyone to figure out what you have really. Maybe you have some sort of infection? Or fibromyalgia (widespread muscle and joint pain, sometime frequent urination) or something entirely different?

Somehow you're going to have to see a doctor. Public hospitals cannot, so far as I understand, refuse someone if they are ill. Consider that if something is really wrong then you're greatly increasing your ultimate financial costs by allowing it to get worse by not seeing a doctor.

You might want to check out the symptom checker on Health Central (upper left hand side) to see if it can give you a clue but it sounds like you really need to see a doctor.

Good luck!
