BAE,
I also have RSD/CRPS in my left arm. I suggest you find a good pain management clinic. I also suggest you do research and learn as much as you can about this disorder. It is a very complex disorder that does not follow any standard timeline nor do all patients exhibit the same symptoms. This disorder is more than just pain and acan affect your whole body. www.rsdrx.com has the best explanation in Dr. Hooshmand's CRPS Extract.
I would go to RSDS.org, RSDHope.org, RSDFoundation, or rsdrx.com for the best information and a list of doctors and hospital/clinics that specialize in RSD/CRPS.
I would not go to Canada, many of my RSD/CRPS friends there wait up to a year to get into a pain clinic.

My friend who lives with severe chronic pain suggest going to where she lives which is canada. Most of the pain care policys are here in the US in general maybe this helps.
Health care, in Canada, varies from province to province.
In general, we can see whatever doctor we choose (if they're accepting new patients), whenever we need to, and aren't charged for doctors' visits, most prescribed medical tests or procedures and hospital stays. The cost of medications is covered or subsidized, in some circumstances; generally, depending on need.
@Reruho
No doubt you do have friends, in Canada, who wait up to a year to get into a pain clinic but that, I think, is unusual.
Dear BAE,
hope i got your name right.
i am a nurse who runs a chronic pain support group in manchester,NH. we have 2 members with your Diagnosis. from what i can gather after learning more about this problem, is that each patient is differently depending his/ her issues. But one of the people i know personally who doesn't like to take meds , has started getting acupuncture treatments and she says that has helped her.
Also, be aware that depending on where you live in the country your treatment for a particular illness varies. studies done by a research hospital here in NH have shown this fact. We have excellent hospitals in this area and for your diagnosis you may want to get a consult with a large research hospital like the Mayo Clinic or one in Boston,MA.
hopes this helps and best of luck to you.
Gale.

Thank you ~ I've heard Canada in general has better/more accessible healthcare. We've been looking into Vancouver a little but don't know much about healthcare policies ~ from what I understand they don't have HMO/PPO so we'd need to find out what type of costs we're looking at.
