According to the manufacturers there shouldn't be a difference between the two pills but sometimes there is and why is something of a mystery. It could conceivably be due to the different inert ingredients the two manufacturers use. If, for some reason, you're reacting badly to one of them effectiveness of that pill might be reduced.
If there is no reason for you to believe that your pain level has increased of itself lately (no injuries, increased stress? poor sleep?) try and go back to your old brand; hopefully you'll experience your normal level of pain relief with that one.
