Q: Can You Take Paxil With Benadryl?

My family doctor told me it was fine to take Paxil and Benedryl on the same day.  However, I've noticed that although my summer allergies are better, I seem to be more depressed and anxious lately?   Jan

According to the Drug Interaction Checker, taking Paxil and Benadryl together may increase their central nervous system and/or respiratory depressant effects.  You can read more about it here:  Drug Interaction Checker – Paxil and Benadryl
