Q: why am I not responding to traction therapy for my lower back

I have been going for lower back treatment for about 6 weeks.  I am on the DRX table and with a Chiropractor.  I have seen no change.  I'm still in pain 24/7.  Both myself and the doctor don't know why.  Also, can you advise me on how to loosen spinal muscles?

I used DRX for a while. It helped a little. as soon as I stoped it all (the Pain) came back. I am going to see a back doctor at the Alaska Spine Institute here in Achorage and having good luck. When I used a Chiropractor I was in pain 24/7. Please go to a Doctor. get a MRI and find out what needs top be done! I still have a small amount of pain in the back but I have needed surgery for 30 years. I know too many people that had surgery and take lots of pain meds to still kill the pain.

You may want to check out trigger point therapy. If your back muscles have serious trigger points no amount of stretching or lengthening will make them let go.
