Q: current status on Hyomax vs. Levsin vs. Hyoscyamine?

I had been taking Hyomax-SL .125 (blue pill from Aristos) for about 6 months and it had wonderfully kept my stomach spasm and bloating in check.   About a month ago my pharmacy gave me a different Hyomax-SL from another manufacturer (white pill - looks similar to the Levsin tablets) and it caused pain and bloating in the area where the spasms happen.    I went to the pharmacist and asked why the change and the pharmacist told me that the manufacturer, Aristos, was having manufacturing problems.    I've been trying to find a pharmacy that has it but none of the pharmacies in my area have it in stock.    I found this site and read the answers to questions about these meds from around 2008 - 2009, (Levsin/Hyoscyamine/Hyomax)  and now I'm concerned that I will never find relief again -  Is there any news from the FDA, can I find another med that works for me?

I couldn't find Hyomax Sl on Aristos website - which suggests they are not making the drug any longer so you need another substitute. There are other products out there. Wikipedia lists the following brand names for hyoscyamine - which is the drug that Hyomax SL contained:  Symax,  Anaspaz, Buwecon, Cystospaz, Levsin, Levbid, Levsinex, Donnamar, NuLev, Spacol T/S, Buscopan (containing the derivative hyoscine-N-butylbromide), Hyospasmol (also hyoscine-N-butylbromide) and Neoquess.

All of these should have the same active ingredient but sometimes one brand simply works better than another for an individual. Good luck in finding one that works.
