I have the same pain, but mine is due from scoliosis and a nerve injury. is this pain recent, or have you had it for a while? what are the details regarding pain onset, and your (if any) back disease history? It could be just a knot that needs some sessions of massage or electric stimulation to work itself out. manual labor causes knots, as do stress and bad posture.

I don't have either of those problems. It's a deep knot which hurts to move. It will stay for a few days then go away and reacure months later. The pain is severe.
