Q: I have sever RLS for over forty years. Using Vicodin 7.5 mg, 2/day. want to change to Oxycontin?

1) I have used Gabupentin for three years no longer efective

2) other drugs used: Ambien, Clonopin, Zanax. Valium. Mirapex and Requip.

3) I am in the 5% that has only had success with opioid's

4) I currently am receiving 45 pill's /Mo:  M366 7.5mg hydrocodone.

5) I take one at bedtime and 1/2 in the am:

6) I take two day vacations and use Gabupenton and Zanax. This does not work well.

7) I have been up two nights. It is currently 6:10am

you dont go from 7.5 vicodin to oxy's! you need to take baby steps in the pain med process, your at the bottom of the pain chain now. ask your pain doc to switch you to roxy's from vic's, it is a different chemical and only a small step up the ladder. You could get worse and could need room later on to move up . I had back surgery in august, and was supposed to be back to work in sept. Now I have a failed back surgery, that I have to deal with the rest of my life in chronic pain, I am not on oxy's yet!No doctor is going to make a jump like that and they will thinkl either your going to sell them or commit sucide.
