I had this condition 2 years ago.  My doctor had been monitoring my blood calcium levels for several years.  I learned later that this should never be ignored. I began experiencing mini strokes.  Surgery to remove my parathyroid was done by outpatient surgery.  No complications, small scar.  I had this condition for a long time and had actually forgotten what it felt like not to hurt all over, even my fingers and toes, and not to have psychotic feelings.  I encourage you to have the surgery a.s.a.p.  I had no signs of malignancy. Good Luck.
