Q: Should I stop taking Morophine Sulfate SA Tablets, before having General Anesthesia applied?

Should I cease taking Ms Cotin Morphine Sulfate SA Tablets before having surgery done with General Anesthetia be administered?

I'm not sure.  Generally before having surgery you would meet with your surgeon and anesthetist and one or both should tell you if you need to make any changes to the medications you take before time for your surgery.  If you've already had that meeting and nothing was said, call your surgeon's office and ask. 

 

If for some reason you can't get in touch with your surgeon, your pharmacist should be able to tell you whether it is safe to take morphine sulfate SA prior to receiving general anesthesia.
