I'm not familiar with the symptoms of fibromyalgia but I have had quite a bit of pain in my hip in the same area (where the hip/leg connect).  My arthritis doctor has treated it by giving me an injection, in addition to the arthritis medication (Relafen) that I take daily.  We weren't sure if the pain was coming from arthritis or from disc problems in my lower back, but the injection (steroid of some sort) really helped me.  I've been able to cut back on pain medication (ocycodone) and even go up & down stairs much better.  I don't know if an injection would help you, but it is definitely worth discussing with your health care professional.
