Q: Lower left back pain into buttock

I was injured in 2008 and I have a lumbar facet imbrevication. Lately I have been having severe low back pain and pain in my buttocks. Both sides hurt like crazy -- I can't even sit at work for an hour anymore, and sleeping on my back causes discomfort. I'm completely at a loss to do anything about this and need some advice.

It sounds like you may be having some severe nerve compression in your lower back. Have you seen a doctor about this? Have you had more scans to determine what might be going on? Since your condition has worsened, it's clearly time to head for the doctor's and get a full exam. Good luck to you! It sounds like it's hurting you a lot.
