Q: unable to loss weight, and low impact exercise

47 yrs old, 150lbs overweight, bad knees, and pear shape so low back pain and poor eating habits, I am unable to eat the every required 2 hours, that seams a bit much.  When at work, I will mis lunch or work thru it. I have little to no motivations for working out, when I do my feet swell which makes it so not worth it. How do I make the change to get my mind set for working out, and liking it?

You might want to look at two courses; how things will turn out if you proceed at you are (not good!) and how they will turn out if you turn things around (less pain, more energy, better health, better feelings). I would say that is a future to work towards - even if in the beginning its no fun - and if you can keep that future embedded in your mind that might help.

One good way to get support is to find a buddy - someone you can work out with and support - perhaps someone in a similar situation that wants to accomplish what you want to accomplish. I imagine that you could find people like that in groups like overeaters anonymous.

You might also focus on exercises that you enjoy and you might consider starting off doing aerobic exercises in a pool. If you're having problems with significant foot swelling after exercise by all means consult a doctor about that.
