Gabapentin can be effective for low back pain, particularly if the pain is from pinched or otherwise irritated nerves in that area.

I have suffered lower and upper back pain for years and before being given Gaba after i was diagnosed T2 diabetes beforehand i took every narcotic pain pill i could get suscribed to me. recently i was taking 40-50mg of Lortab a day. since the Gabapentin i am down to 1 lortab and 1 Gaba at lunch and 1 each at bed time and it is amazing how much these two have limited my pain levels. i can function during the day and and at night i sleep llike a baby granten i still have some pain in my feet and middle part of my back but that is because i also suffer from arthritis. what ever you may believe about what i say i feel alot better than i have for many many years. i forgot to mention that my dosage of gabapentin is 300mg 2 times a day
