Is there something called a 'tidds unit' or something like that? It gives an electric impulse sent between two sticky pads placed on the skin. Any info will be helpfull. Thanks

I found out it is a TENS UNIT.  Thank you for your help.

Hi,

What you are talking about is called a TENS machine. I have a small portable one to use at home. My has four pads and it is helpful for me.

I would go to google and goggle TENS Machines and there are different types out there and they describle what they are used for.

Always check with your Dr. or PT to see if this is something that you need before purchasing one. I know that I bought mine through the PT Center that I went to.

Best wishes :)

While I am no Doctor, all I can do is share my experiance with the TENS Device.

Found it useful for a short term approx 4 months, and I know it can do wonders for pain, just be very careful.

Make sure a Phisio sets it up for your situation, don't share your settings, and only use as intended or you could end up in more strife.

And after a period of prolonged use, for me anyway, I had to give it back to the phisio as it started to cause my heart to do a double beat.  But I did get 4 months use before this developed on me and I got to used to it during the day, like all good things it came to an end for me, and started to become an extra hazzard, so had to find an alternative such as the POOL.
