HOW LONG DOES PERCOCET STAY IN YOUR SYSTEM, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE A CLEAN URINE.
If you're legitimately taking the drug for pain, it doesn't matter. Take the prescription bottle or a note from your doc with you. They'll make note of it, and you won't be penalized for it.
If you're not taking it legitimately, I hope they catch you, and shame on the so-called experts here for helping you. People who take drugs not prescribed for them make it harder for the rest of us to get the help we need.
A legitimate doctor will not penalize you for other peoples actions. Even though many people use and become addicted to oxycotine many doctors still prescribe it and if your going to put the shame on anyone put it on the court system itself. It condems normal people for using street drugs such as weed but any person with money can be hopped up on "prescription drugs" and get off with a slap on the wrist even though chemicly its all pretty much the same thing. If i were to happen to get caught with a gram of coke i'd be prossessed and sent to jail but if any celebrity pops riddlin like m and m's then there just miss using there prescribed drugs even though we have the same objective in mind.
FIRST ID LIKE TO SAY I AM PERSCRIBED THIS MEDICATION, BUT FOR THE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ARE NOT, SOME OF THEM HAVE REASONS. WITH THE CURRENT ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS, INSURANCE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AND HOLD ON TO, PLUS THERES THE COST OF A DR. VISIT THEN PAYING FOR THE PERSCRIPTION, JUST TO MENTION A COUPLE OF REASONS WHY PEOPLE ARE FORCED TO GET HELP ILLEGITIMATELY. THEN YOU HOPED FOR THEM TO GET CAUGHT, WOW THAT WAS A REAL STRETCH, CAN YOU IMAGINE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS THOSE MEDS, GOING TO JAIL AND HAVING TO GO THROUGH WITHDRAWS? I WAS A CORRECTIONS OFFICER AND I SEEN IT FOR MYSELF AND IT ISNT PRETTY, ITS REALLY SAD, THEY HAVE COLD AND HOT SWEATS, BOWEL MOVEMENTS THAT WONT STOP, AND IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE INSIDE OF A JAILCELL YOU KNOW THERE IS NO BATHROOM, JUST A TOILET OFF IN THE CORNER THAT MOST LIKELY DOESNT WORK AND FULL OF CRAP, OR A HOLE IN THE GROUND, THEN YOU HAVE TO THROW UP N THAT SAME TOILET, HOLDING YOUR BUTT TIGHTLY SO YOU DONT CRAP YOURSELF IN THE PROCESS, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF YOU HAVE THE CORRECTIONS OFFICERS THAT DONT GIVE A CRAP, WILL LAUGH AT YOU TAKE AWAY YOUR TOILET PAPER, AND MAKE U FEEL 100 TIMES WORSE THEN WHAT YOUR ALREADY GOING THROUGH. AND YOU JUST WISHED THAT ON SOMEONE. PEOPLE LIKE YOU SHOULD REALLY THINK THINGS THROUGH BEFORE WRITTING SOMETHING AS CRUEL AND THOUGHTLESS AS THAT. THEN YOU MENTIONED THOSE WHO ARENT PERSCRIBED IT MAKE IT HARD ON US WHO DO GET IT PERSCRIBED TO GET THE HELP WE NEED, HOW IS THAT??? THAT MAKES NO SENCE AT ALL, IVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM GETTING WHAT I NEEDED CAUSE SOME HARD WORKING MAN WHO HAS 3 CHILDREN AND A WIFE AND THERE FAMILIES INSURANCE GOT CANCELED AND THEY ARE BARLY ABLE TO MAKE IT IN LIFE, AND STRUGGLE EVERYDAY AND RELY ON THE HUSBANDS INCOME TO SURVIVE AND HEE HAS A CRONIC BACK AND NECK CONDITION AND WITHOUT MEDS HE CANT EVEN GET OUT OF BED. (JUST AN EXAMPLE) YOU SHOULDNT JUDGE PEOPLE, YOU NEVER KNOW THEIR STORY. BLESS YOU AND MAY NOTHING BAD HAPPEN TO YOU FOR WISHING BAD UPON ANOTHER!
Thats REAL TALK for you!!! Thanks for some real insight

Yeah well maybe you can afford to go to the doctor!
Who are you to judge others?
Wow! I just spent the last 10 or 15 minutes reading the responses to this poor guys question about percocet in your system and I can't believe some of these answers. I truly believe that people are always entitled to their personal opinions - who's to argue another's feelings? That's just plain silly, not to mention a losing battle. The opinion belongs to someone else, you're not obligated to adopt it or take it home with you for crying out loud! Most of the comments (or at least some) have sound reasoning . . . that is IF you happen to be the person commenting. Personally, I would just like to (for a change) browse through one of these many thousands of information forums on the web and find responses relevant to the information being sought. I certainly don't speak for anyone but myself, but it seems to me that if a person is asking a factual question, they're propbably looking for a factual answer. And when they're looking for feedback or another opinion on a subject the curious body would ask for such information. . . wouldn't they? My feeling (if you want to adopt it its yours for the taking) is that if you have an opinion or feel the need to rage on certain groups or topics, please by all means do! Excercise your freedom of individuality, of personal thought and of just being you. But please, find an appropriate arena to do it in. Start a blog, rent a hall, find a rant site (I think CraigsList has one) and just go off on all of the ######## and idiots, real or imagined that make your world a living hell! Wouldn't you feel like you've accomplished so much more by addressing an audience that wants to hear what you have to say and not put you down for saying it? An audience that is there to support you not boo you off the stage? And for those of you who come to these information forums, wouldn't it be nice to know that a piece of knowledge that you somehow happened to pick up along the way was helpful to someone because it was found without them having to wade through pages and pages of people's feelings on the subject. And for all of us that really just want to know the answer to a question for whatever the reason . . . can you imagine being able to just ask the damn question (without half of the universe suddenly thinking that they know your entire life story) and getting an answer that solved your delema, satisfied your curosity or maybe won you a silly bet? Now, if only we didn't have to pay for it . . .Oops! that's just crazy talk.
I'm sorry but I just wanted to say that the only reason it is so hard to get a prescription for it and it is such a process is because it is a narcotic and is very easy to get addicted too. It's not because people abuse it its because it is so addicting. I am on percocet because I just had 2 surgeries and am about to go through a 3rd one. I wanted to see how long it stayed in your system because my body is starting to get addicted too it. I am glad that this person asked this question because it helps people who do have to take the drug.
I couldn't have said it any better!
i have third stage kidney failure, second stage liver failure and cancer,i agree with you totally,i lost my medical coverage when i wasunable too work anymore and ssi has denied me 3 times,my dr visits cost $200 a visit plus the tests plus the percocet prescription costs me $282.00 a month,my thyroid meds cost $383.00 a month,my cymbalta costs $380.00 a month,,it is cheaper to get them on the streets,,paying by script it costs over $1000.00 a month buying on the street it woulkd cost me about $480.00 a month.you are right we are not druggies some of us just get our meds the only way we can afford it.my dialysis is $2500.00 a treatment 3 days a week,i am billed for the treatments but i cannot be billed for my meds. add to this that i have till the 16 to be out of my apt and have no one family or friends ,i can understand the fight just to live. i commend you for seeing the human need to survive side of it.the person you responded too must not be bad off,we need more people like you,the world would be a better place,,,GOD BLESS YOU
you are so right, it took me going to 4 different doctors before i could get prescribed percacets and I have a very real pain and need for them. I have a bone disease but for some reason the doctors in my town refused to believe i was in pain enough to be given narcotics such as percacets. And one of the doctors actually told me the pain was in my head?? excuse me...I have broken 26 bones in my body I have real pain. and the users that get the pills and sell them is the reason i had to sufffer for so long without the pain meds i truely need.
Amen. I have been in the situation where i needed them for my gallbladder. the pain i am in is horrible but i do not have insurance nor the money to go to the doctor and get another prescription. if i were to get some but not have the formal written prescription, does not mean that i am some druggie criminal. some people out there are just ignorant.
Hallelujah to that! I couldn't have said it better myself. Tired of pot calling the kettle black.
we are fighting each other instead of fighting the system that put us in this predicament. That is what the goverment wants us to do. I used to work like a horse and suddenly fell ill one day. I was upper class had great insurance never had to take a pain med or any other med in my life. I spend 8 1/2 year sick and looking at the poverty end of what people go through. I have found that doctors have a very hard time giving out the proper pain medications that are desperaterly needed. I don't think you understand simply because you have not been here and because you lack the ability to empathize. I'm happy to say that after all these years i'm starting to get better and you better believe that i will get off the system that has barely done anything to get me better. I have nearly starved lost my home and have been homeless. I scraped by every month. And I paid so much into the system. I thought that system would have helped me when I got sick. I had a back up insurance that dropped me on a simple misunderstanding that i could not correct because i was so sick I could not put the paperwork together to fight them. I lost over $500a month for that and had to rely soly on ssi. Medicare pays nothing. They keep people sick. I had to find my own answers. Had it not been for my tenacity I wouldn't be climbing out of this. So please have a heart. It could be you. It could be anyone. I never knew it would be me. I was on top of the world before I collapsed from devestating illness (forgive the spelling people). One last word, docters for people with medicare and medicaid treat us like sheep. They don't spend any time and frankly i don't know where all this mysterious wonderous technology is but it isn't being used on the people who need it. Doctors are for the healthy. The health care system is for the healthy. Get sick and beware. Good luck to all those who are suffering like I was my heart goes out to all of you. Now that i'm well I will be working in the future to be a voice for people like you! Fight on and don't let these fools put you down.
Unbelievable!!!!! A lot of you sound like children. The namecalling etc is very immature. If someone asks a question answer it without the snide comments.
I have been clean and sober for almost 10 months I took a half of a 5/325 tablet of percocet. I drug test for the courts. I took the tablet monday night at 10 o clock pm.
I tested myself 1 o clock the next and came up clean the next day with one of those home tests. I tested clean for opiates. Today I tested for the courts at 5 o clock pm. Am I good?
probably not because the courts tests are much more accurate then a home testing kit
way late but 3 full days n nights and the 4th day you will be clean, thats what he wanted instead of argueing or judging people just give them the answers man some you people made seem like he was asking where he can find some or something, i dont think that was hard at all get over it. its a never ending issue about people missusing drugs and it will never end there will always be addicts, but you cant just go off on someone you dont know no matter the question. how would you feel if you asked a question and never really got the answer just people going off on you? were you never taught to treat be how you would like to be treated? if you didnt like the question you shouldve kept yo thoughts to urself n backspaced for real
if people wanted to be preched to they would have went to church i hate when people go into the hole goodie goodie approach if u cant answer the freakin question straight forward then dont freakin answer my god people need to get off their high horse nobody cares about ur preaching and if they wanna get high theyll get high ur not gonna stop them they just see your stupid anti drug answer and hit the back button to the million other answers that arent preaching give it a rest
MAN!!! I can't believe some of the answers. #1. If you took someone elses mediciation it is a felony and if you do test pos. and they want proof of the prescription you may have gotten your "friend" in trouble. Ive seen many doctors turn people in for 'sharing' even if it was urgent. #2. If you had/ have a script of the medication it wont matter as long as you can prove through your pharmacy or reciepts that you legally got it through your doctor it shouldnt matter. #3. If your that worried why take it just before a drug test anyway. I am a patient in a pain management clinic. I take valium 5mg, two times a day; hydrocodone 10/325 SIX times a day; Soma 350 four times a day; Morphine er 3 times a day and Ambien 10mg at night. And as long as my drug tests with my pain management dr. come out ok then my work doesnt care. I take them legally. And Im in the medical field. But I dont drug up at work, Ive timed it all out where I can take something once I get home. But never all at once. So find you a pain management doctor and do it the right way. And no I dont have insurance either.
