Q: how to detect an adominal hernia

I was in a car accident 1 / 29/08.  The seat belt tightened as the car spun.  It cut into my hip bones and I swelled up looking like I was about 5 mo. pergnant.  I have had test after test.  Ultra sound with contrast.  All organs have been checked out and are in w/i normal range and size.

Now 6 mo. later everything has gone down and back to normal w/exception of a bulge between my ribs and comes to a point hanging over my navel.

During the spinning of the car my right rib cage crossed over my left rib caged and squeezed tht area.  I have been checked out by 2 surgeons by hands on the area and coughing and they checked all my tests.

I feel there must be a test or mri whatever to tell me what that bulge is.  Doing daily activies when leaning forward i feel like i did when i was pregnant years ago.  It is a full feeling and it gets sore from pressure when i am busy.  It literally has changed my shape. I do not believe this is going to go away.

Please advise.  Where can i go from here.

Thank you.
