medication question

I'll try my best to help ya out. I'm currently on the 50mcg Fentanyl patch, the generic for Duragesic. I'm not sure but I think 100mcg per hour is the highest. As far as falling off they tend to have that effect for me but usually after or during the 2nd day. They tell you to try and use tape. But thats a pain in the butt. What I did was call the manufacture of my particular patch and they will send you, free of charge a larger patch that covers the main one. As far as the shower I wouldn't even attempt without something covering it. It's supposed to last 72 hrs but I found that after about 2-2 and ahalf days after pain would slowly return. Learned once again fron the manufacturer about something called rapid injestion, body uses the meds faster. I'm not sure why, possibly metabolism? I weigh 135lbs soaking wet and have since high school, so makes sense in my case. Seems to be working OK for pain, only a month in. hope this helps some.
