TENS units are very good pain management tools, but do not work for everybody. For some, the TENS unit provides enough buzzing sensation that can block the pain signals. Because vibration sensation has a high priority within the nervous system, when both pain and vibration signals arrive at an intersection, vibration gets to go to the brain first. Anyway, that is the theory.

TENS units can be used all the time, based on the patient's comfort level. Buzz on!
